Commvault Backup & Recovery supports S3-compatible providers as cloud storage libraries.
Configure Filebase as a cloud library
- In the Commvault Command Center, navigate to Storage → Cloud → Add cloud storage.
- Select S3 Compatible as the cloud provider.
- Fill in:

- Save the configuration.
Storage policy
Create or modify a Storage Policy to point at the new Filebase library. Backups directed at this policy land on Filebase.
Compression and dedup
Commvault performs source-side compression and dedup before sending to the cloud library, so what hits Filebase is already compact. Filebase's free egress makes restores affordable even when the local environment is gone.
