Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an additional security measure that enhances the protection of your account by requiring two forms of verification. Instead of just entering your username and password, you will also need to provide a temporary one-time password (TOTP) generated by an authentication app on your mobile device. This extra step ensures that even if someone has your password, they cannot access your account without also having your TOTP device.

By enabling 2FA on your Filebase account, you add an extra layer of protection against unauthorized access. Even if someone manages to obtain your password, they would still need your 2FA device to access your account. This significantly reduces the risk of your account being compromised.

How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication on Filebase

Setting up 2FA on your Filebase account is quick and easy. Follow these simple steps to enhance your account security:

  2. Go to Settings: Once logged in, navigate to the Settings page from the main menu.
  3. Enable Two-Factor Authentication: On the Settings page, find the "Enable Two-Factor Authentication" button and click it.
  4. Scan the QR Code: A QR code will be displayed on the screen. Open your preferred authentication app (such as Google Authenticator or 1Password) and scan the QR code.
  5. Enter the Verification Code: After scanning the QR code, your authentication app will generate a temporary one-time password (TOTP). Enter this code into the Filebase dashboard to verify and complete the setup process.
